August 5 - BC Calculus Students need to review the following topics for September as we will not spend time on this.  Research on the internet:

Informal definition of a Limit (not epsilon / delta proof)

Properties of Limits

Methods of finding Limits

Special Trig limits

One Sided limits

Internet Problem 3: July 30th

Spheres in a cone

 

3 spheres are placed in a cone such that each sphere is in contact with the cone and the next sphere in the cone.  If the radii of the spheres is 20, 12 and r, find the measure of r.

Internet Problem 1:  For the function,

(h) amplitude,
(i) period,
(j) vertical shift,
(k) phase shift,
(l) domain,
(m) range.

 (n) Can f(t)=-2? Explain.

 

Internet Problem 2:  Use the given information below to find the maximum interior height of the shed.  Make sure you show your work 'cause I know some of you are running to Lowe's :).

 

 

 

Assume that the angle at the apex of the roof is 120 degrees.
